Welcome to Grange 50s!

This website is the successor to Grange57, founded by Graham Butterfield and Les Cousins, who entered Grange Boys' Grammar School in 1957. Graham had been to Ryan Street Junior School whereas Les had been a pupil at Grange Juniors and lived locally.

The aim of the website is to share the memories of those years at Grange, to find out how the intervening years have treated us and to put people in touch with former school friends. The accuracy of the information at this stage is largely dependent upon memory which, of course, is not what it was!

Please let us know about any inaccuracies or gaps, particularly missing names. Many thanks to David Mitchell for filling in some of the blanks that we had.

Please contact us to share your memories of Grange, tell us what you’ve been doing in the intervening 40 years (or more!) - leave us a message on our guestbook.

We are indebted to all those who have contributed to the site through their personal memories, photographs and documents. Please keep them coming.

Help! Does anyone have photos of the Senior soccer teams in 1963 and 1964?
